Buying and Selling Questions
How long is the wait for a new Freeman, and can I get one sooner?
A new Freeman can take two to three years from order to delivery, depending on the model, because demand is high and production is limited. There are two ways to get one sooner: order through a brokerage that holds annual build allocations, as Silver King Yachts does, or buy a late model pre-owned Freeman that is already in the water.
What it depends on
The model. Wait times vary by model, so ask about the specific boat rather than Freeman in general.
How you are buying. A build allocation held by a broker is a place in the production schedule. Buying through one can put a qualified buyer ahead of the standard waitlist.
Whether new has to mean new. A recent pre-owned Freeman gives you the same hull and ride this season. For many buyers the right late model boat is the better trade than two more years of waiting.
How we help
We hold annual Freeman build allocations and work directly with the factory, so we can tell a qualified buyer what is realistic for the model they want. We specialize in building Freemans to how you run your boat, from seating configurations to air conditioning, and with our partner Coast to Coast Marine we have installed a dual-unit Seakeeper in a Freeman, which no other outfitter has done.
Common questions
Can I see a Freeman before I order?
Yes. Freeman exhibits at the Palm Beach, Fort Lauderdale and Miami International Boat Shows, and we arrange factory tours in Charleston and private viewings of new and pre-owned boats.
Can I customize a new Freeman?
Yes. Seating, air conditioning, electric grills and other upgrades are specified at order. Tell us how you fish and cruise and we build to it.
What is the largest Freeman?
The largest model currently offered is the Freeman 47.
