Freeman 43 or Freeman 47: which should I buy?
Buy the Freeman 43 if you want Freeman’s offshore catamaran ride in a shorter, narrower boat. Buy the 47LX if you want more beam, a redesigned console and lounger and a larger head. Both are rated for up to 1,800 horsepower and both draw 24 inches, so the decision comes down to space, layout and where you keep the boat.
What it depends on
How many people you usually carry. The 47LX is 13 feet 2 inches wide against 12 feet 3 inches on the 43. If you regularly fish or cruise with a full boat, that width is the difference you will feel.
Where the boat lives. The 47LX is 47 feet 2 inches long and the 43 is 43 feet 5 inches. Check your slip, lift or trailer before you fall for the bigger boat.
How you spend the day. The 47LX adds an enlarged head compartment, flush-mounted rod holders and options like air conditioning and an electric grill. If your days are long runs with family aboard, that matters more than a few feet of length.

Is there a wait for a new 43 or 47?
New Freeman builds can take two to three years depending on the model. We hold annual build allocations, which can shorten that for qualified buyers.
